Community Advisory Councils

The purpose of the Community Advisory Councils (CACs) is to provide community-specific input and advice to the Board of Directors on the Hospital’s priorities, programs, services and strategic direction and to relay information about William Osler Health Centre to, and from, the community.

Community Advisory Councils (CACs) were created to better engage the community in a meaningful way on issues related to the local delivery of high-quality patient care. In addition, the CACs are a key element in community consultation on the redevelopment and evolution of our hospitals, including Etobicoke General and the soon-to-be-redeveloped Peel Memorial Hospital.

Membership in these councils was open to the broader community in Brampton and Etobicoke through a public application process. The first appointments to the new Community Advisory Councils for Brampton and Etobicoke were made in Fall 2008.

Thank you to those individuals who made application to serve as a member of the Community Advisory Councils. Your response to our call for membership was tremendous.
